Otolaryngologist

Dr Ahmad practices general otolaryngology with clinical interests in head and neck, salivary, thyroid, nasal and sinus diseases including general ENT problems in children and adults. He is an experienced sialendoscopist and is a faculty member of international society of Sialendoscopists, Geneva, Switzerland with active involvement in teaching and conducting workshops in Sialendoscopy.
His thesis for Masters was on adenoids and middle ear diseases in children and this was approved and awarded master’s degree in 1983. He participates and instructs in international workshops focussing on management of salivary diseases and sinus problems and is actively involved in teaching and examining undergraduate and postgraduate medical scholars and teaches masters of audiology scholars and supervises PhD scholars.
Dr Ahmad was born in Kashmir (India) and after graduation and post-graduation left and has travelled widely before falling in love with New Zealand and made it his home. He is supported by his wife, two sons, three granddaughters and a grandson. He has passion for playing golf and enjoys playing the game on most of the weekends. He enjoys listening to classical music and at times enjoys singing in social gatherings. He also loves to watch rugby and cricket.
